Denmark will soon host a fully Danish-owned and operated hyperscale data center. The first phase of the project, to be operational in 2026, will eventually reach a capacity of up to 200 megawatts, making it one of the largest data centers in the country.

In addition to returning to the global congress with the Nordic Pavillon, the Nordic NTAs are nominated for the Datacloud Global Awards in the Best Community engagement category for their work with Nordic Data Center Week in 2024.  Datacloud Global Congress takes place June 3-5 in Cannes and will see over 2,500 senior decision makers gathering in the heart of the French Riviera, Cannes, to network, close deals and gain insights from world-class digital infrastructure experts.

The Danish Data Center Market Report 2025 – Trends, Investment Analysis & Growth Opportunities was officially launched today at the opening of this year’s Data Centers Denmark conference, spotlighting a sector undergoing rapid transformation. As AI adoption accelerates, energy demands intensify, and sustainability expectations rise, Denmark is firmly positioning itself as a strategic hub in Europe’s digital infrastructure landscape. “The domestic data center sector is growing at an unprecedented pace, as the report clearly shows,” says Henrik Hansen, CEO of Danish Data Center Industry. “AI, sustainability, and energy integration are rewriting the rules. The opportunities are vast, both for the industry and for Denmark as a whole. But staying competitive will require smarter infrastructure, flexible power strategies, and strong cross-sector collaboration". This year’s report features detailed forecasts on expected power capacity growth through 2028, along with a comprehensive analysis of current and future investment trends. It also examines shifting end-user IT strategies, driven by AI, cloud, and their impact on data center design, construction, and operations.
